My uncle Chet Harms married a ? and had a son, David, born about 1942. While he was in the army in the Pacific, they divorced. He then married a June Goldfinch, who he met in a hospital in Australia, at my parents house in Seattle, Washington in about 1945. Chet returned to his hometown, Monee, IL where he briefly worked as a barber, but soon became a salesman for Standard Oil. He and June had no children. They lived in Belvidere, Il. He died in 1988. At his funeral, I met his son, David Zupan, who I never knew about until then. June died in 2001. I have his WWII service locker and his complete family history in this country. My mother, Helen, was his older sister and they were the only children of Carl Martin Harms and Anna Skoog. Please contact me, gregoryspeer@@worldnet.att.net, about Elsie Harris.
